» MOUNTAIN BIKE:
For all those who love recreation, Hvar offers a lot of cycling routes for the beginners, but also for the most demanding cyclists. Enjoy the idyllic scenery of vineyards, oil groves, lavender and rosemary fields, or the routes by the see and marvelous beaches. To see, hear and feel nature, at the same time enjoying a leisurely bike ride or conquer the summit, ride down the mountains, test your body over the gravel paths at the base, follow the river flow, discover the islands and choose from various bike levels is a unique pleasure. If you join in, you will discover a new world and celebrate the taste of your own victory.

 

» CLIMBING:
Free climbing under the watchful eye of instructors and using the appropriate climbing gear, is an absolutely safe sport which really everyone can try. The most important thing to know is how to choose the right direction – that is, that the difficulty of the climb is suited to your physical abilities and you will truly enjoy in climbing equally as much as experienced climbers.

 
» TREKKING:
Trekking is certainly the best way of getting to know the island. Walk through the paths of history, far from summer crowds, get to know the fields, vineyards, oil groves, climb the highest peak St. Nicholas and enjoy the unique view. Meet the old settlements and Hvar’s villages, learn something about the history of the island, meet the island in its original form! Discover hidden corners and endless beauty barely visible to the eye; meet the everyday man who is very much in the habit of always unselfishly sharing the little he has with welcomed guests. The heavenly combination of the sea and mountains, sunny islands and tame mountain range, will fill your heart and make you want to visit again.
 
» HIKING:
For all hiking lovers, Croatian mountains are a real fudge. One of the most beautiful places for this is certainly St. Nicholas peak, on 628 meters above the sea level, with a view on Hvar channel, places on the island, beautiful Hvar’s nature and the island of Brač. Some of the paths are overgrown, but the best thing to do is to start the climb from Ivan Dolac, by arranged path to the top. On the road, you will meet the “Od Brda” church – the highest church on the island, and the Gospa od snijega church, which is placed in the cavern.
Whichever path you choose, you will certainly enjoy the beauties of the scenery.
 
» SEA KAYAK :
Kayaks have become a new hit on the island for those who love recreation. Whether you are fond of one-day trips or multi-day program, you can detour some of the most beautiful bays of the island of Hvar, and also those which are approachable only from the sea.If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the beaches full of swimmers, we invite you to try kayaking to pebble beaches accessible only from the sea. You will explore caves and cavern, underwater springs and bathe in the beautiful, crystal clear sea.

» SAILING:
Yachtsmen who come to sail in the waters round Hvar will be able to satisfy their curiosity in various ways, starting from the hospitality and going on to the weather conditions, which are very often close to the ideal for sailing, the geographical position of the islands and coastline that are said to be the most beautiful and interesting in the Mediterranean. In addition there are details of the rich cultural and inherited past, a mine of information, workshop and other services, the wining and dining scene, all together in contact with the hosts, known for their charm and kindness.
 
» DIVING:
The island of Hvar has about 200 bays with beautiful beaches and rocks, but offer a marvelous underwater too. Here are some of the well known diving locations:
- PelegrinCape
Not far from Hvar, there is the Pelegrin bay, where you can enjoy the search for the sank ship from the World War Two.
- Pločice
On external side of Pakleni otoci are Pločice cliffs. You can encircle all the islets and reveal all the beauties of living underwater, and maybe even encounter some of the familiar domestic fish ( two banded bream, grouper and gilthead).
- KabalCape
On the east side of Kabal, underneath the beacon, is an interesting tunnel, about 20 meters long. The part which is around it is rich of flora and fauna.
The island is in posession of more than one marvelous diving location. All of them, of course, depend on divers experience, so we recommend you the professional assistance which shall reveal you the most beautiful parts of Croatian underwater in the best way.
